Red Door Weekend FAQs

Which classes are celebrating a Reunion in 2026?
Alumni with class years ending in "1" and "6" celebrate reunions this year. Even if it’s not your reunion year, all alumni are welcome!

How are Red Door Weekend dates selected?
Red Door Weekend is scheduled up to three years in advance by a committee of representatives from multiple college divisions. When considering dates, the committee reviews the academic calendar, religious observances, secular holidays, home athletic events, and arts programming. We strive to choose a weekend with strong potential to attract the most alumni back to campus to participate in a robust schedule of engaging programming and events.

I'm unable to travel to Muhlenberg to attend Red Door Weekend. Are there other ways to participate?
All Red Door Weekend events will be held in-person this year; livestream options will be available for a few select activities.

How can I view livestreams of Red Door Weekend events?
Check back during Red Door Weekend for easy access to the livestreams.

What is the Football Tailgate?
Gather with fellow classmates, teammates and parents at our annual tailgate near Scotty Wood Stadium. Tents will be available for reunion classes, affinity groups and parents to celebrate the weekend. Food will be available to purchase and the event is BYOB. See the tailgate FAQ tab for more information.

What is ’Berg Bash?
This all-alumni party is the home for reunion dinners for most classes. Enjoy a dinner buffet, unlimited beer and wine, live DJ, yard games, photo booth and more. The 55th, 50th, and 45th reunion classes will celebrate separately and are invited to join ’Berg Bash after their dinners conclude.

How can I be part of the Alumni Art Show?
Alumni artists may submit work for the show through August 31; see complete details. All are invited to stop by the Seegers Union Light Lounge during Red Door Weekend to see the show.

How can I find out who's coming to Red Door Weekend?
Once registration opens, you can see a real-time list on the Red Door Weekend registration page. Don’t forget to register!

I'm hoping to see a certain professor or staff member when I come to campus. How will I know if they'll be there?
Many faculty and staff members enjoy re-connecting with alumni during Red Door Weekend; however, we can't guarantee that specific individuals will be here. If there's someone you'd like to see, we recommend contacting them to let them know you'll be here and ask if there's an opportunity to meet up. Many faculty and staff members will attend our Faculty, Staff, Parent and Alumni Mixer, which is held Friday evening. Be sure to register and encourage your favorite faculty members to attend as well. If you need contact information, get in touch with the Alumni Office — we may be able to provide it.

Where should I go during the weekend if I have questions?
Visit our team of staff and volunteers at the Welcome Center in Seegers Union. We're happy to help! If you need assistance now, email [email protected].

What should I wear during Red Door Weekend?
Traditionally, the weekend is casual and relaxed, so plan to dress comfortably. Allentown weather varies — the average high for mid October is 65 degrees, low 45 degrees. Check your class webpage to see any specific directions from your reunion committee.

What should I bring?
Photos of family and friends, memorabilia from your college years, weather-appropriate clothing, a camera, and a smile!

Are children welcome?
Yes, children are welcome and they can join in many of the weekend's activities including the tailgate, Homecoming Fair, Bug Discovery Walk, and athletic events.

Will the Muhlenberg bookstore be open?
Of course! ’Berg Outfitters will be open on Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Saturday from 9 a.m to 5 p.m, and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The store is always open online at bergbookshop.com.

How do I register for Red Door Weekend?
Registration will open in July. Register online or call the Office of Alumni Affairs at 1-800-464-2374

By when do I need to register?
Most activities that include a meal are offered at a cost and will increase in price as the event gets closer. Check registration info for details about price increases. Even if your desired activities have no charge, we recommend registering early. This will help guarantee your spot for limited-capacity activities and allow you to coordinate with your classmates and friends. Advance registration typically ends about a week prior to Red Door Weekend.

Is there a charge to attend Red Door Weekend?
Activities that do not include a meal are generally offered to alumni and their guests at no charge. Costs associated with meal activities are communicated within the registration process. Registration for all events is requested as space may be limited.

Can I get a refund if I do not attend?
The college will issue no refunds for registration fees paid by registrants, regardless of their attendance, unless the event is canceled by the college.

Can I just show up on campus at my reunion?
We recommend that you register in advance. This helps us plan and make sure we have the right resources in place to deliver the best experience for you! If you do come to campus without registering, be sure to visit the Welcome Center in the Seegers Union lobby as soon as you arrive, so we can get you set up for a great Red Door Weekend.

After I register, when will I receive more information?
If you register online, you will receive a confirmation email listing all the activities you signed up for. If you don't receive this, or if you have questions about your registration, please call the Alumni Office at 1-800-464-2374. When you arrive on campus for Red Door Weekend, visit the Welcome Center in the Seegers Union lobby to check-in.

What should I do if I need to change my registration?
Most changes to your registration can be made online. Please refer back to the confirmation email that you received to make changes. If you have any questions, please call 1-800-464-2374 or email [email protected] for assistance.
